The most comfortable months for a desert safari are November to March, when daytime temperatures are mild and evenings are cool. Safaris run all year, but in the summer months (June to September) the afternoons are very hot, so a morning or evening tour is the better choice.

Choose a morning safari if you want the dunes with the rest of your day free, or if you are visiting in the hotter months. Choose an evening safari for the full experience with sunset, dinner and shows.
Overnight
An overnight safari covers both: evening activities and shows, a night in a tent at the camp, and sunrise with breakfast the next morning.
Ramadan
Safaris run during Ramadan, but there is no belly dance show during the holy month. The Tanura and fire shows continue as usual.
